(She/Her/Hers)
MSW Social Worker & Psychotherapist
I’m a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist supporting children, teens, adults, and families since 2012. I help clients navigate anxiety, overwhelm, trauma, behavioural challenges, and life transitions with clarity, steadiness, and practical support.
I aim to create a space where you can be honest about what’s going on and feel supported in figuring out what comes next. Therapy is collaborative, grounded, and focused on meaningful, real-life change.
With children and teens, I incorporate play, creativity, and nervous system regulation to support emotional processing and skill-building. Parent support is an important part of the process.
With teens and adults, sessions may include EMDR, practical coping tools, and insight-oriented work to address both immediate concerns and deeper patterns.
My approach is trauma-informed and strengths-based, integrating EMDR, CBT, DBT, ACT, and attachment-focused perspectives, always tailored to what feels most helpful and manageable.

Angela Viau MSW, RSW
Angela is a Registered Social Worker with over 30 years of clinical experience across child welfare, hospital, and primary care settings. She holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and has spent her career supporting individuals, couples, and families through complex and often high-acuity challenges.
A central focus of Angela’s work is couples therapy. She supports partners who feel stuck in patterns of conflict, disconnection, or repeated misunderstandings, helping them better understand the dynamics shaping their relationship and move toward more effective communication. Her approach is structured and collaborative, with an emphasis on ensuring both partners feel heard while working toward meaningful and lasting change.
Angela works with couples navigating a range of challenges, including ongoing conflict, loss of connection, rebuilding trust after rupture, and uncertainty about the future of their relationship.
She also offers discernment counselling for couples who feel unsure whether to continue working on their relationship or move toward separation. This short-term, structured process helps partners gain clarity with intention and care.
Angela’s background includes work with the Children’s Aid Society, hospital-based discharge planning, and most recently serving as the sole Social Worker within a large Community Family Health Team. In that role, she provided comprehensive mental health support to individuals, couples, and families experiencing chronic illness, significant life stressors, and co-occurring mental health and addiction concerns.
She brings advanced experience in crisis intervention, family systems work, addictions counselling, and evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She is especially skilled in supporting complex situations that benefit from a coordinated, systems-based perspective.

Charlotte Williams
(She/Her/Hers)
MSW, RSW
I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist specializing in trauma, grief, life transitions and relationship concerns. I support youth aged 12 and older, adults and couples who are navigating painful experiences, feeling disconnected from themselves or others, or finding themselves stuck in patterns they would like to understand and change.
Whether you are coping with trauma, adjusting to a significant loss or trying to rebuild connection in your relationship, my work is centred on helping you understand what you have been carrying and move toward greater safety, balance and connection. I offer a holistic, trauma-informed, client-centred and inclusive approach that considers the relationship between our emotions, bodies, nervous systems, relationships and life experiences.
Trauma can affect the way we experience our emotions, relationships, bodies and sense of safety, often in ways that are difficult to understand or put into words. You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, constantly on guard or unsure why certain situations trigger such strong reactions. In therapy, we can slow things down, make sense of these responses and explore ways of moving forward that feel safe, manageable and meaningful.
Grief can follow the death of someone important, the end of a relationship, a change in health or identity, or another significant life transition. There is no single way to grieve and no fixed timeline for healing. Therapy can offer a place to make space for your loss, explore its impact and find ways to carry it while reconnecting with meaning, relationships and the parts of life that still matter to you.
I also work with couples experiencing communication difficulties, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, trust concerns or significant relationship transitions. Couples therapy can provide a supportive space to understand the patterns shaping your relationship, express underlying needs and emotions more clearly and begin rebuilding connection. My approach is collaborative and does not focus on assigning blame. Instead, we work together to understand the relationship dynamic and develop healthier, more responsive ways of relating to one another. For couples who are uncertain about the future of their relationship, I also offer discernment counselling. This short-term process is designed to help couples gain greater clarity and confidence about whether to continue in the relationship as it is, pursue couples therapy with a shared commitment to change, or move toward separation.
Our work together will be shaped around your individual or shared needs, experiences and goals. Depending on what feels most helpful, I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), polyvagal-informed work and somatic approaches. These approaches can help you understand your emotional and nervous-system responses, shift unhelpful patterns, strengthen your relationships and respond in ways that are more aligned with your values.
I am also a certified Reiki practitioner and trauma-informed yoga teacher. This training has strengthened my understanding of the connection between the mind, body, nervous system and emotional well-being. When appropriate and of interest to you, therapy may include gentle body-based strategies to support grounding, emotional awareness and regulation.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bishop’s University, a diploma in Behavioural Science from St. Lawrence College and a Master of Social Work from Carleton University. I have also completed a Trauma Certificate through Wilfrid Laurier University and continue to pursue training in trauma recovery, grief, relationships and body-based approaches to healing.
Therapy does not need to be about becoming a different version of yourself. It can be a place to understand what you have been carrying, reconnect with your strengths and values and create a life and relationships that feel more authentic, balanced and aligned with what matters to you.
My goal is to offer a warm, compassionate and inclusive space where you feel understood and supported as we navigate that process together.
